There was a major fire emergency at Redhead overnight.
It took crews until about a quarter to three to put out the industrial fire in Kalaroo Road, which engulfed a car restoration and repair business.
Cars inside were destroyed and paint and thinners contributed to the severity and danger of the fire..
An exclusion zone was set up as dozens of crews, the hazmat unit and the ladder platform was brought in from Newcastle.
Emergency services had to cut through the tin walls to gain access.
Fire fighters remain on the scene this morning to ensure there is no reignition.
