The loss of a University of Newcastle Professor is being described as a “terrible tragedy”.
Professor Kypros Kypri was in Dunedin, New Zealand when he had a cycling accident on the weekend and died.
He was a behavioural scientist, and heavily involved in the Hunter Medical Research Institute.
It is another tragic chapter for the Kypri family, with Kypros’ son dying at just 19-years-old last year after being diagnosed with a rare and life-threatening auto-immune disease.
