Public holiday to mourn Her Majesty

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has announced a one off  public holiday for a national day of mourning after the death of the Queen.

The day will be Thursday September 22nd, three days after Britain’s longest reigning monarch is laid to rest.

The Queen’s coffin, escorted by Anne, Princess Royal will be transported from Edinburgh to London via plane on Tuesday morning where it will lie in state at Westminster Hall until the day before  her funeral on September 19.
