There’s been a big spike in COVID-19 cases in the Hunter New England Health District today.
The district recorded 93 new cases in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.
In total for the current outbreak there are now 1,352 cases and 922 cases are active.

– 1 in Tamworth - 23 of the total active cases are currently being cared for in hospital. 2 are currently in ICU.
- 67 are linked, 12 are unlinked, and 14 are still under investigation.
- 54 were infectious in the community, 25 were isolating while infectious and 14 are still under investigation.
