A man’s been charged after allegedly being found with MDMA in Salt Ash yesterday.
The 24-year-old was travelling along Nelson Bay Road around 1:30pm when he was pulled over by the Highway Patrol.
He underwent a roadside drug test and allegedly returned a positive result.
Police searched his car and it’s alleged they found 430 grams of MDMA and almost $2000 in cash.
The man’s been charged with supplying a commercial quantity of drugs and dealing with the proceeds of crime.
He’s been refused bail and will front Newcastle Local Court today.
