Police have arrested a man over a violent altercation at a Raymond Terrace hotel over the weekend.
A couple was staying at the William Street hotel on Sunday night, when a man smashed a window and broke into the room.
He then allegedly threw a piece of glass which struck another man in the chest.
The 48-year-old was taken to the John Hunter Hospital with a suspected punctured lung.
Following investigations, police found a 31-year-old man hiding in the boot of a car at 8:30pm last night.
He was arrested after a short struggle with officers, and is now facing multiple charges.
He’s been refused bail and will front Raymond Terrace court today.
