Police have arrested a man, after locating dozens of prohibited weapons at a home in Lake Macquarie this week.
They attended a property on Macquarie Road, Cardiff just before 4pm yesterday due to welfare concerns.
They spoke to an 11-year-old boy and a 36-year-old man before entering the home, where they allegedly found a gel-blaster rifle and pistol, pellets, swords, knives, and drug paraphernalia.
The 36-year-old man was arrested and taken to Toronto Police Station.
Officers returned to the home with a search warrant later that night and allegedly found another 60 items including sling shots, batons, tasers, knuckle dusters, crossbows, machetes, fireworks and a white substance believed to be cocaine.
The man’s been charged with 32 offences.
He’s been refused bail and will front court today.
