Police have arrested and charged a man at Aberdare on outstanding warrants after an unusual turn of events yesterday morning.
Officers had surrounded a Northcote Street home after then man was spotted entering when they received a triple zero call from a woman who stated that there’d been a stabbing in Cessnock.
However the call was traced back to the home they’d already surrounded and officers forced their way in.
The 27-year-old man was charged was a series of driving and theft offences and will front court today.
A 33-year-old woman was charged with making a fake call to emergency services and possessing a prohibited drug.
She’ll be facing court later this month.
A 26-year-old man inside the home was also arrested but was later released without charge.
